Spring!!!

This weekend, many of us had to 'spring forward' and change over to Daylight Savings Time. For me, that's signaled the end of winter (despite the official date being March 20th)

Fall/Winter are my favorite seasons, but I do like the sense of clearing out the old and bringing in the new that spring gives me.

I don't have much of a yard, but this weekend will be spend tackling it and planting flowers and general 'spring cleaning'. I both love and loathe yard work - LOL!

Also, time to clear out the dust of winter and open the windows!! ((maybe in a couple days, it's still kinda cold here))

Least favorite: I feel guilty whenever I stay inside on a beautiful day.

Spring rituals: Rotating my cold-weather clothes from my closet to the duffel bag in my basement, and warm-weather clothes from basement to closet. (I have a ton of clothes. I love clothes, I am good to them care-wise, I wear many things probably past the point when they could be considered 'worn out', and I haven't outgrown anything in a very very long time.)

I have planting to start working on, too.

I'm planting SUNFLOWERS this year and replacing my shasta daisies that didn't come up last year. And other stuff that looks pretty but I don't know the names of. What are you planting?

We'll probably still get some more snow, so I'm not sure I'm prepared to call spring yet, but...

The transitional seasons are my favourite ones, spring and fall both. In spring, it's exciting being able to go outside without bundling up first, and enjoying walking around or waiting for the bus rather than shivering through it.

I could do without the rain, however. And the resurgence of insect life.

Least favorite thing about spring would be the rain... I don't mind rain, just not all the time. LOL
Favorite thing is warmer weather!
And no spring rituals except switching spring/summer clothes out and putting the winter/fall ones away.

Thankfully we haven't had a lot of rain yet, but we had a pretty rainy year last year. Although I do love a good thunderstorm. We don't get those as much as we did when I lived out west.

Here in the UK we haven't put our clocks forward yet, that is my least favourite thing, it puts me off kilter for several weeks!! My favourite thing is a day like today when the sun shines and the temp actually rises to non gloves weather!!

Me too! I still don't know what time it is. Some clocks moved forward, some back, some didn't move. TIME IS LYING TO ME.

My dad used to say if you didn't change the clock in the car it'd be right again in six months.

Spring means SEASONAL ALLERGIES HIT! And wow, did they ever hit hard yesterday.... my poor foggy brain ...

But at least it's warmer...

Yeah, they're creeping up on me, too. BUT I REFUSE TO BE DEFEATED BY THEM. And honestly, April is usually the worst month for me on that, so the best is yet to come for me.

Allergies suck.

And nope, but we have our own cherry trees and festival here. :P I WOULD like to get down to DC for their festival one of these years though. Sad thing about moving to florida this summer is their lack of cherry trees.

Those first days of nice weather after winter are the best. When it seems like the outdoors just smell different.
I don't like when there are basically two weeks of spring and then it's hot as hell summer, which tends to happen where I live.
No, just celebrating both my parents' birthdays (they're only ten days apart).
