my comic book drawers
(I'll definitely be making more than one post for this activity cause I love doing arts & crafts type stuff and I've got several projects going on at the moment, this is just the first one I've finished this month. XD)
I have an Ikea Expedit bookcase and a while ago I got some slide-in drawers to hold my comic books, and I decorated them. My comic collection is slowly expanding so I got some more drawers and decorated those and added them in. Behind the cut is way too many pictures of my decorating process of the two new drawers. :D

Starting with a blank Drona box, pencil, markers, and reference picture.

I'm not an artist. I have to make a grid and then meticulously attempt to copy the reference picture bigger..

Colored Sharpies, I love you.

Done! Remember how I said I wasn't an artist, lol.

Fresh off the angst of how horribly I mangled the previous picture I opted for a much simpler design on this one. I forgot to take a finished picture, but here are all of them in place:

SWEET, SWEET DRAWER ACTION. The left two were the ones I had done a few months ago. And Kate doesn't look sooooo bad from further away, lol.

Inside the Captain America drawer: some old silver-age comics I bought from a friend. I need to re-bag and board them and sort them.

Inside the Kate drawer: Young Avengers and Hawkeye, of course.

Inside the Captain Marvel drawer: Captain Marvel! :D

Inside the Thor/Jane drawer: random stuff. I've got a bunch of single issues of stuff & independent company comic books. Also all my bags + boards that are waiting for comics to be put in them. I've run out of magazine holders though so I need to get more of those before I can finish organizing.

I'mashamed proud of how many items in this photo are from Ikea. I like how Kate now sits there judging everyone and everything in my living room.
Also, bonus cat!

If you were curious what's in the yellow drawers.. all my knitting stuff. And maybe a hint as to a future arts & crafts post from me. XD

Also putting your comics in a box or whatever like that is something i'd never really thought of before and now MUST DO.

My big problem with individual issues is the whole "how to keep them" dilemma. You solved that nicely!

Yeah, this was born out of need cause I didn't know what to do with those singles piling up and I just didn't want to be boring and get one of those box things, haha.
