Pet Peeves

Many of us have them...the little things that disproportionately annoy us. Minor things that don't bother other people at all, but leave you pulling your hair out wondering how anyone could do that.

This is your chance to let off some steam! What are the little things that annoy you?

lulz -- peace and goodwill as long as everyone keeps moving.

My pet peeves are people who don't pay attention when you tell them how to do something and/or are too lazy too look something up and insist on calling me to ask me how to log in to XYZ.
And no, I don't know your password.
Sadly, I'm not even in customer service and I get this sort of ridiculousness all the time. I want to yell into the phone DO I LOOK LIKE A PEOPLE PERSON? I have work to do, leave me alone and call someone in your own company to help you operate the internet.

Supermarket trollies. People abandon them in car parks, when the trolley park is three feet away. And if they do put them in the trolley park, they throw them in any old how, so there's no room for anybody else's. It takes maybe ten seconds to put it neatly. Drives me nuts.

It's a small thing, I know! It's one of those demonstrations of blatant laziness and thoughtlessness that people exhibit, though. Makes me grrrrr.

The supermarket trolley problem is mostly gone around my corner of the world. Almost all trolleys use a "coin lock" system. To disengage your trolley from the next, you put in a 5-10 SEK coin, which is returned when you lock the trolley again. The only complaint I have is that people park all the carts in one row instead of spreading out to the other rows.

Yes, that seems like a good idea. A few shops here use that system, but it only seems to be the smaller ones so far, and from what I've seen it's still pretty rare.

That's funny. We have it the other way around. I think that of the big stores, it's only IKEA, who doesn't have that system.

I feel as though everything my roommate does is a pet peeve .____.

My biggest pet peeve is probably when people leave dishes just...lying around. Like if you're eating in front of the TV and you set your empty plate on the coffee table or something meaning to take it to the kitchen later, but then you completely forget, and then I come back to an empty room filled with dirty dishes. >.<

It's infuriating.

One pet peeve I have is when someone (usually a partner) asks "are you mad/angry?" out of the blue. No, I wasn't, but that changed quickly.

I have a few annoyances, but one of them is when people ask me for help when it is something they can easily do on their own.

For example, we have a big printer at work. It tells you where and how to fix it if something occurs. If it breaks, people come to my coworker or I and tell us to fix it. Like we are printing specialists... just follow the instructions on the machine! JEESH.

THAT, and people who drive like morons, especially in bad weather. If you're afraid to drive in snow, get off the road.

I get behind too many people that go TOO slow when the roads are just wet. Its silly. We've had snow forever here in the winter and its nothing new. Majority of the drivers are STILL on cell phones or texting; I'm just over it all. LOL

Kids running around in coffee shops. If only because I know if someone spills a scalding hot drink on them, the parent will go off on one and not realise that possibly a kid running around in a coffee shop is not the safest thing ever.

My biggest pet peeve, people that just feel the need to walk into public restrooms while still talking on their cell phones and continue talking. Really, come on don't be so nasty.
