...hmm, moved to another country alone, ran away and got married to a man I never saw again after the next day, dated certain people, ran into the street to save animals and children a lot of times...all sorts of stuff...it's part of the fun of being older, that you have done things...!
Grilling out and trying to stay cool while hoping no one sets anything on fire because it's so dry here right now. And hoping we don't get anymore bad storms that cut the power out again.
Lots of thunder and a bit of lightning when I was out flipping the steaks and zucchini, but no rain.}:/ And as far as I know, no fires from the fireworks, thankfully.
They have Mounties! :D (Kidding. The Mounties, sadly, are having a lot of public relations issues right now, all of which they've brought upon themselves.)
It's just the whole national capital thing. The whole of Parliament Hill is basically one giant party: big concert, huge fireworks display, etc. We do have a lot of that in Toronto too, of course, but I don't think it's quite as grand. There was just something about the feeling of heading up toward Parliament Hill surrounded by vast crowds of people from across the country that was indescribable.
Plus I just like Ottawa, so it's a good excuse to go.

Ha! Being older is kinda fun. My goal for my next decade is to be half as spontaneous as I wanted to be my 20's.
Sadly most of my spontaneity has been of the purchase kind the past few years- which isn't nearly as fun as you think it should be.

I once climbed into a guy's lap, took off his glasses and started making out with him. I think I got points for chutzpah at least.

LOL -- did you know the guy?

We were dormmates and classmates. There had been UST brewing between us for some months, and I just decided "what the hell, I'm going for it"

What do they do in Ottawa that they don't do at home?

I was going to watch Independence Day, but I was too lazy to download it, and just played on tumblr. :D

Most spontaneous thing I've ever done is to randomly decide to drive 7/8hours to Ocean City to see someone I've never really met.
